Trash bins can be brought outside as early as Thursday evening at 6pm for Friday trash collection by Local Waste Services
As a gentle reminder, after trash collection all trash and/or recycle bins should be removed from the view of the street and abutting properties. Please DO NOT leave trash bins on the side of your home.
In an effort to maintain the beauty and curb appeal of our community, this is a gentle reminder regarding the placement of yard signs:
Please do not place any signs in the landscaping beds at the front entrances, along the walking paths, or in the right-of-way areas. These areas are considered common areas and are not permitted for personal signage.
Per the Brooksedge Declarations of Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions, signage is limited to your individual property and must not be placed in Common Areas or Association-maintained landscaping.
Unfortunately, if they are seen, signage will possibly be removed by the City of Pataskala or the HOA to keep up the appearance of the front entrances as well as walking paths down Taylor Road
As a friendly reminder, please be sure to pick up after your animals when walking throughout the community. We have pet waste receptacles and bag stations placed around the neighborhood for your convenience.
If you take a dog waste bag, please make every effort to use it and dispose of it properly in one of the provided receptacles.
Let’s continue working together to keep Brooksedge clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone who enjoys our sidewalks, green spaces, and walking paths.
Per Article I, Section C of the Brooksedge Declarations, all homeowners are required to maintain their property in a clean, neat, and orderly condition. This includes keeping lawns and landscaping well cared for and ensuring that no weeds, overgrowth, or unsightly objects are allowed to accumulate on any lot.
This includes:
Regular mowing and removal of weeds
Trimming trees, bushes, and landscaping to prevent overgrowth
Keeping siding, gutters, fencing, and exterior surfaces in good repair
Repainting exterior surfaces as needed
Ensuring that trash, equipment, and personal items are not stored in plain view
Keeping porches, driveways, and yards free of debris and clutter
These maintenance standards help preserve property values and the overall appearance of our community.
Thank you for doing your part in keeping Brooksedge a beautiful place to live.
Community Reminder: Clothesline and Laundry Visibility Rule
To maintain a clean and consistent appearance throughout the neighborhood, we are reminding all homeowners of the clothesline and outdoor laundry restriction.
To maintain a clean and consistent appearance throughout the neighborhood, we are reminding all homeowners of the clothesline and outdoor laundry restriction.
Per Article I, Section L of the Brooksedge Declaration, clotheslines and outdoor drying racks are not permitted. Clothing, towels, bedding, rugs, or household fabrics may not be hung in the open or placed on fences, railings, porches, decks, or any outdoor structure where they can be seen from neighboring properties, streets, or common areas.
These standards help preserve the beauty and value of our community.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping Brooksedge looking its best.
This is enforceable by the HOA and may result in a violation notice if ignored.
The City of Pataskala has informed us that a significant tree removal project will begin in the Brooksedge subdivision. The contractor for this work will be Tree King.
We want to share the details provided by the City so residents know what to expect:
The City is finalizing the purchase order for the contractor now. They expect to have a confirmed start date with short notice, possibly only 1 to 2 days in advance. As soon as the City provides the exact start date, we will update the community.
The trees scheduled for removal are Bradford Pears located in the Right-of-Way. These trees have been deemed invasive and the City has noted that they are becoming increasingly large and prone to splitting, especially during major weather events.
The City has confirmed that new trees will be planted this year, likely the week after all removals are completed.

To preserve the appearance, safety, and property values in our neighborhood, the Brooksedge East Homeowners Association enforces the following policy on vehicles with flat tires or signs of inoperability:
HOA Policy (Per Declaration Section 8.6) :
Under Section 8.6 of the Brooksedge East Declaration of Covenants, no junk, inoperable, or unlicensed vehicles may be kept or permitted on any lot or street right-of-way for more than forty-eight (48) hours. This includes vehicles with:
Flat tires
Missing or damaged parts
Expired license plates
Broken windows
Other visible signs of being inoperable
If a flat tire is not repaired or replaced within 48 hours, the vehicle is in violation of the HOA’s governing documents. The homeowner may be issued a notice and may be subject to fines if the matter remains unresolved.
What Does “Inoperable” Mean?
Any vehicle that cannot be legally or safely driven is considered inoperable. A flat tire qualifies as a condition that makes the vehicle inoperable.
Covering a vehicle or parking it in a driveway does not exempt it from this rule. All vehicles visible to the community must be in drivable, presentable condition.
City of Pataskala Enforcement:
In addition to HOA enforcement, the City of Pataskala Property Maintenance Code also prohibits long-term storage of inoperable vehicles, including those with flat tires. If the issue remains unresolved, the city may:
Issue citations
Impose fines
Arrange for towing or removal at the owner's expense
To learn more, visit: https://www.cityofpataskalaohio.gov
Resident Responsibility:
It is the homeowner’s responsibility to ensure all vehicles on their property or directly in front of it are operable and well-maintained. Taking quick action to address a flat tire helps keep our community clean and compliant.
To preserve the beauty, safety, and natural character of our community, Brooksedge East residents must follow these guidelines before removing or cutting trees on their property:
Policy Overview (Per Section 8.9 of the Declaration):
Homeowners must receive written approval from the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) before removing any trees from their property.
This rule applies to trees of any size or location on the lot.
No cutting, trimming, or removal is allowed without this prior approval unless the tree is dead or diseased.
Exception:
Trees that are visibly dead or diseased may be removed without ARC approval, but we recommend notifying the HOA and providing documentation such as:
A photo of the tree’s condition
A note or report from a tree specialist or arborist
How to Request Tree Removal:
Complete the Architectural Review Form:
https://www.brooksedge.net/documents
Submit the form with a clear explanation of:
Which tree(s) you wish to remove
The reason for removal
Whether you plan to replace them with other landscaping
Allow up to 20 days for a written response from the ARC as outlined in our review process.
Failure to Comply:
Unauthorized tree removal may result in a formal violation, fines, or requirements for replanting.
If there are any questions or concerns about any of the information above, please feel free to reach out to The HOA Leadership Board or send an inquiry on the contact page
